UX and Product Manager

 

We’re looking for an exceptional individual who can lead our mobile and hardware product management using design thinking principles.

The XCo team is obsessed with producing actionable data for sport, healthcare and robotics at a global scale. We create IOT and wearable solutions to improve human performance, health and automation. We make next generation bio-analytics and sensor fusion possible with our proprietary motion and biometric sensor technology.

Our team is made up of experienced system engineers, hardware engineers and product innovators. We believe in rapid testing, iteration, and quality in both design and engineering.

We are a young company and this is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor. You will be responsible for bringing innovative products to market. Responsibilities

  • Establish a user experience vision for your mobile app and hardware products and help your team achieve it iteratively.

  • Own and manage your product’s development, branding, marketing materials and launch.

  • Design and/or assist with wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes.

  • Work closely with subject matter experts and other team members to develop and refine product requirements.

  • Manage the product strategy, planning, definition, pricing, positioning, distribution and the market launch strategy.

  • Foster collaboration between executives, marketing and engineers.

  • Develop baseline knowledge in all our UX disciplines (research, design, data visualization, front-end development and industrial design) and gain further expertise in your product’s key features.

  • Anticipate resource needs for your team and recruit for them

  • Identify people and technical challenges on your team as they arise and have the hard conversations to solve them

Skills and experience

  • You have knowledge and passion in sports, fitness or healthcare.

  • You have contributed significantly to mobile app designs that are now on the market.

  • You have demonstrated experience on multidisciplinary UX teams that delivered high quality projects.

  • You can demonstrate product management and/or product marketing skills.

  • You have deep expertise in one or more of our UX disciplines (product design, user research, data visualization or front-end development) and you actively collaborate with team members and stakeholders outside your area.

  • You take a holistic, user-focused approach to all your work.

  • Desirable that you have industrial design and hardware product experience.

Bio-analytics Engineer

We’re looking for a data wiz to lead analytics and algorithm development for our bio-analytics platform.

We are a young company and this is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor. You will be responsible for sensor evaluations, analytics, algorithm development, visualizations and validation. You are the type of person that loves problem solving using technology, collecting data, analyzing data and you have a strong desire to share your findings with everyone else. You also have a passion for sports, fitness and/or medical technology.

Responsibilities

  • Validate and improve the accuracy of XCo’s algorithms and analytics.

  • Develop novel algorithms that provide value to customers.

  • Source, test and evaluate biometric sensors.

  • Assist with subject recruitment, setup and data collection

  • Be the in-house guru on analyzing individual and population data.

  • Supervise data acquisition by partners and conduct analyses on their data during key development phases (ex. Alpha, Beta).

  • Transfer knowledge to engineers for product improvements.

  • Train and educate customers on how to best use the system and how to get the most out of their data.

Skills and experience

  • You have deep knowledge and passion in sports and/or medical fields.

  • You have some experience working with hardware and software engineers.

  • You probably have a biomedical engineering or biomechanics or data science related degree.

  • You have demonstrated good project management.

  • You have expertise in analytics, algorithm development, data visualization and what data science tools to use and when as they relate to sport, fitness and the life sciences.

  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills including making presentations in Powerpoint, Pages or Google Slides.

  • You also have an interest in autonomous vehicle technology (just because that is something else we do - who doesn’t like robots and drones?)

  • You have a good level of understanding of networking, linux, and databases.

  • You can program at the level of making code alterations and for writing and running your own algorithms and analytics.

  • And, it is is a plus if you have experience with RF systems and their peculiarities.

Business and Marketing Coordinator

We’re looking for a detailed orientated Business and Marketing Coordinator for part-time or full-time work.

The XCo team is obsessed with producing actionable data for sport, healthcare and robotics at a global scale. We create IoT and wearable solutions to improve human performance, health and automation. We make next generation bio-analytics and sensor fusion possible with our proprietary motion and biometric sensor technology.

Our team is made up of experienced system engineers, hardware engineers and product innovators. Things happen fast and we need someone who can help keep the business running and coordinate our marketing activities.

You will be responsible for developing and coordinating marketing, assisting with project management and office administration duties. You excel at powerpoint, writing and being organized.

Responsibilities

  • Business project management.

  • Develop marketing, sales and investor powerpoint presentations, press releases and web/social content.

  • Coordinate graphic design for marketing materials.

  • Organize travel, trade show participation, events and demonstrations.

  • Assist with grant applications and grant progress reports.

  • Book-keeping, account payables, receivables and payroll.

  • Assist with HR duties such as job postings, resume reviews etc.

Skills and experience

  • You have knowledge and passion for sports, fitness or healthcare.

  • You have a Bachelor degree in Business Management, Commerce or Marketing.

  • You have shown positive contributions to business administration and operations in the past.

  • You have demonstrated an ability to work on multidisciplinary teams that delivered high quality projects.

  • You can demonstrate project management and marketing skills.

  • You have expertise in one or more of business and marketing operations (i.e. accounting principles, finance, project management, web/social/print marketing,  event management) and you actively collaborate with team members and stakeholders outside of your area of expertise.

  • Recent graduates with great business or marketing aptitude are encouraged to apply.
